Canon was awarded an injunction and damages in a law suit against sellers of counterfeit batteries and chargers. The lawsuit, filed in May of 2023 in Washington, was against 29 manufactures of counterfeit goods. Canon was awarded $1.3 million which was in line with its demands. Canon aggressively pursues counterfeit products to protect customers from inferior and potentially unsafe products like batteries and chargers.
