Canon is in talks to open a chip fab in India according to India President and CEO Toshiaki Nomura. Canon has not disclosed the names of the parties involved. A lot of companies are looking to expand in India. India is also a very important market for Canon so it makes sense for them to develop a big presence. In 2024 Canon experienced double-digit growth in India that they expect to continue. India has tremendous potential since the country is a big one that is growing in almost every way.
