Map Camera released its sales rankings for November and Canon topped its sales charts with the Canon EOS R5 Mark III. Canon also came in 7th place with the flagship Canon EOS R1. You can find the rankings and their statements below:
First up, the number one spot goes to the Canon EOS R5 Mark II. This marks the third month in a row that the camera has been ranked number one. It
has not yet been distributed to everyone who made a reservation, and all that has arrived is being given to those who have made a reservation.
However, it seems that the number of units supplied by the manufacturer has increased recently.
I have a feeling that by the next time, all units will have been distributed to those who have made a reservation, and we will finally enter the next stage.
We have a story to look forward to after this, but the EOS R5 Mark II is a camera that carries the expectations of Canon as its flagship model. We
will be keeping a close eye on the trends in the rankings to see how sales will increase in the future. And now, finally, we will introduce the highlight of this ranking, the one that camera fans are looking forward to.
The Canon EOS R1, released on November 29th, made its debut in the same position at 7th place.
The EOS R1 is a flagship full-frame mirrorless camera that was released to inherit the lineage of the EOS-1D X Mark III (released in February 2020), Canon’s top-of-the-line SLR camera.
While inheriting its high reliability and durability, the new image engine system “Accelerated Capture” and deep learning technology provide shooting performance that meets the needs of any professional. This is a flagship model that Canon users have been waiting for, and many of you may have thought, “What, it’s only in 7th place…” in this ranking.
However, considering that it was released at the end of the month and that it costs nearly 1 million yen, even its 7th place ranking is impressive. We
have received a huge number of pre-orders since the start of pre-orders. If everyone who pre-ordered had received one, it would have been in the top 3… but unfortunately, the initial stock was limited.
It’s one to keep an eye on, whether you’re a Canon fan or not, as we’ll see how it develops in the future.
